The Future
A full programme of support and early education will be offered in the purpose built Centre at the Prince of Wales Pre-School Centre for families in the West Dorchester area. There will be special facilities and expertise for young children with disabilities and special needs from South and West Dorset.
The building will include:
- Baby and toddler suite
- Two playrooms
- Kitchen and dining room
- Sensory room
- Soft play area
- A cafeteria for parents and professionals
- A family support unit
- Secure outside play facilities
- Consultation rooms for parents to meet professionals for advice and support
Sessional and full day care will be available with an early evening drop in scheme. A range of parenting and family learning workshops will be provided. The Centre will be open for forty eight weeks each year which includes some weekend provision.
